MISSION STATEMENT

STAR Ministry

The Seniors Ministry at Transfiguration Baptist Church is called the STAR Ministry. STAR is an acronym for Seniors Together Active and Resilient. This special ministry warmly welcomes older adults aged 60 and above to join us in a journey of faith and fellowship.

Our mission is to enrich the golden years of our members through spiritual growth, imparting wisdom to younger generations, and fostering a sense of community and belonging. We are dedicated to identifying and addressing the unique needs and concerns of older adults, the congregation, and the broader community, aiming to create an environment where every individual feels valued and supported.

Through various activities and projects, we promote an active and fulfilling lifestyle, encouraging participants to serve one another and grow in their Christian journey.
